Chante’s fondness for photography began with a bright yellow 110 point-and-click camera, a gift received on her ninth birthday. For years, she toted a 35mm SLR on her trips, judiciously using the precious few frames on the film and impatiently waiting for processed prints. Now, digital photography throws those restrictions out the window, and she avidly shoots with her Canon Rebel DSLR or–if too lazy to carry that–her lightweight Sony or cell phone. Chante is partial to outdoor photography. Her family likes to joke “that she missed a flower” if she walks by one without documenting it with her camera.
