About

Hiking the Uintas

At any given time, Chanté McCoy is reading a handful of novels, taking a continuing education class to dabble in her latest interest (NOTE: she has no future in belly dancing), or hiking the mountains of Utah with Elvis, her 110-lb Doberman Pinscher. While generally indulging in her love of fantasy, she writes in other genres too.

She has recently been published in The Crimson Pact (volumes 1, 2, and 3), Dog Fancy, Spec the Halls, Short Sips, Big Pulp, Eighth Day Genesis, Dark Moon Digest, The Dead Walk Again, and Pets in the City magazine. Some of her credits can be found on her Amazon profile. Look for her newest story in the upcoming Sidekicks to be published in March 2013.

Cool! Loved that you put “Blue Bear & Snow Toad” out here with Judith’s illustrations. Have you heard from her or any of the others lately? Sure do miss those meetings at your home. I joined a group here for awhile, but really haven’t gotten the feed back I enjoyed with the Yarn Spinners (or whatever the heck it was we called ourselves LOL). I ran across a bookmarker at a wool festival a few years back and every time I look at it, I think of the group. It says “great yarns knit friends together.” And oh, the yarns we used to tell!

Hello, the two of you, Chante AND Adele! Tracey here. After moving back and forth across the country I’m back in Texas, rearing up to recommit myself to writing and thought I’d look you up, Chante, and low and behold came across Adele, too. I’m preparing a course proposal to begin teaching an adult continuing ed writing class , and still working on that darned rewrite. Looks like you’ve been busy, Chante. Congrats on your successes!
